SUMMARY:Practical Steps to Deter and Win Web Accessibility Lawsuits
DESCRIPTION:Presented on October 8\, 2024 at 12pm ET\nPresenter: Aaron Farber\, Senior Accessibility Platform Consultant \nWeb accessibility lawsuits have become a reality of running an e-commerce site on the web. \nThe average case costs between $20\,000 – $50\,000. Plus there’s opportunity cost; responding to the case interrupts your business’s roadmap. \nThis webinar looks at web accessibility from the perspective of an e-commerce retailer. \nAttendees gain a clear sequence of steps to deter and “beat” accessibility lawsuits. \nThis webinar answers the most important questions e-commerce sites have about web accessibility lawsuits: \n\nWhy are some e-commerce retailers targeted more than others?\nHow do these cases start? What claims do they generally make?\nWhat to do if our business receives a complaint? What should we ask for in return e.g. remediation timelines?\n\nWeb accessibility lawsuits are unpredictable. Learn the steps to reduce the likelihood and cost of one. \nThis October\, let’s start this journey\, one step at a time. It’s a gradual process\, addressing a set of issues each cycle or a pace which suits your organization. \nWith TPGi’s clear\, well-defined plan for e-commerce retailers\, in ONE YEAR\, you can have an accessible e-commerce site that is delivering a high-quality user experience for all. TPGi provides leadership\, tools\, and resources for each step. \nBut don’t focus on TPGi. (Ok Please Do!) Focus on the vision and the practical steps in the plan and take them back to your team. \nUnable to register?\nIf you are using Internet Explorer and have cookies disabled (either via privacy mode or decline cookies on the website)\, you may not be able to register through this form. \nIf you are still unable to register\, please email ida@tpgi.com with your name and contact information.
