SUMMARY:ADA Great Lakes Center - Accessible PDF Fillable Forms Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Description\nWhether someone is using a form to access state programs\, apply for a job or provide medical information to a doctor\, entities covered under the ADA have a responsibility to ensure that they are providing equal access to persons with disabilities. One of the best ways to do this is by creating fillable PDF forms that are accessible to persons with a wide range of disabilities. In this session\, attendees will learn about important concepts such as tagging\, reading order\, form field labeling and more! \nTo ensure your question is answered during the session\, individuals are highly encouraged to submit their questions ahead of time via the registration website (the option to submit questions is available once you have registered for the session). \nReal-Time Captioning will be provided for this session. \nContinuing Education Recognition Available\nCertificate	Credit hours. ACTCP	1.5\nCertificate of Attendance	1.5 \nSpeakers:Gaby de Jongh\, IT Accessibility Specialist\, UW-IT\, Accessibility Technology Services\, University of Washington \nQuestions for presenters:\n1	Are there typically more issues with tagging in older versions of MS Office (2016 and older) converted to PDF than with Office 365?\n2	How do you correctly structure and confirm the Reading Order of a document from the Accessibility Checker tool in Adobe Pro?\n3	How does an accessible PDF form compare to say a Google form in terms of both ease of use for the user and ease of set up for the creator?\n4	Are there tools that are screen reader accessible which users who are blind or visually impaired can use to create accessible PDFs with fillable forms?\n5	Are there ways to take inaccessible PDFs with non-fillable forms and turn them into accessible PDFs with fillable forms?\n6	Is a webform more accessible than a fillable PDF form? What are the pros and cons of each?\nSession Questions\nThis session is accepting questions from registered users. After you have registered to participate in this session you can submit your questions on your Account Manager page. Please note: the number of questions will be limited and submissions will be closed well before the session starts to provide time to prepare answers.
